With the virus breathing down our throats, poor leadership in Washington and a big racial divide to bridge in this country, I needed inspiration. That’s when I decided to reach out to Robert Reich. Reich is an economist, a Professor of Public Policy at UC Berkeley, a former Secretary of Labor in the Clinton Administration and the author of 19 books including his latest, “The System: Who Rigged it, How We Fix it. I talked to Reich about other tough periods in American history and how the country managed to move on to better times. In other words, we’ve been here before, so there’s hope for the future.
